A stunning event to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and hosted by TV presenter, magician and comedian, Stephen Mulhern took place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June at St Ninians, near the village of Kelty. The Platinum Jubilee Youth Spectacular was held in a newly constructed arena, located at the former opencast mine site.
The event was sponsored by Community Interest Company (CIC) National Pride UK, which jointly owns the site and is planning its future development as an Eco-Wellness and Leisure Park. It was organised by local Events Manager, Michael Boyle and the former Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo impresario, Brigadier Sir Melville Jameson.
